Hospital Visits/Life Recently

Hey y'all! It has been a while since I have posted a blog entry here but here is what has been happening...

We have had a lot of hospital visits in the past few months, A LOT. It seems that my husband and I are finally ready to "get out" more with the kids since February 2020 (we had our second daughter 3 weeks before the world shut down). It has been a process. I have had a lot of anxiety in doing so, but things have gotten better with time. It could possibly be Leilani's body adjusting to being around more germs or a random virus that is going around. Either way we are happy that most of the time she gets to come home to recover. She has stated feeling pain around her spleen which has been very scary. Sickle Cells pooling in the spleen can cause a sudden drop in hemoglobin and can be life-threatening if not treated promptly. The spleen can also become enlarged and painful from the increase in blood volume. After repeated episodes, the spleen becomes scarred, and permanently damaged. As you have read, very scary. We have found some natural homeopathic boosters and come up with a small immune boosting regiment for her. We definitely think it is helping. Hopefully we can help limit the number of times we go to the hospital for the rest of the year, but if we have to go, we go! That's about all for now, UNTIL NEXT TIME!
